ESQlabs recognised in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award - 2023
Deloitte honors the fastest growing tech companies in Germany
14th of March 2024 – the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award ceremony took place for 21st time, in the heart of Berlin. 50 start-ups from the fields of biotechnology & pharmaceuticals, energy technology, communication, digital content, media & entertainment, hardware, medical technology, software and fintech were recognized as winners of the Technology Fast 50 Award, and once again, ESQlabs was one of them.
With this award, Deloitte recognizes Germany’s 50 fastest growing companies in the tech industry each year. The winners of the prize are acknowledged for mastering the balance between growth and expansion and the adaptation of organizational structures. This recognition is determined by the percentage increase in sales over the preceding four financial years. The key driver behind this accomplishment was the innovative technology developed in-house. Deloitte’s acknowledgment of ESQlabs proved that the cutting edge approach to creating PBPK and QSP models using Open Source Software is not only progressive but also lucrative.
“The Fast 50 Award is not just an award – it represents our appreciation for the passionate and unwavering innovation and entrepreneurship that drives the tech scene. Since 1995 worldwide and in Germany since 2003, we have used this award to celebrate the impressive wealth of ideas and the extraordinary perseverance in the world of start-ups,” emphasizes Andreas Reuß, Partner at Deloitte.
With impressive yearly revenue growth of 72.30 % ESQlabs ranks 30th on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50. This spectacular number could only be achieved with the help of the amazing and hardworking ESQlabs team which has grown over the past year by 92.31 %. Last year, our team members focused the work on several different platforms, which proved to be the key to the company’s success. Those were: Organ-on-Chip Platform (Christian Maass), Large Molecules (Willbert de Witte), Radiopharmaceuticals (Luis David Jimenez Franco) and our training projects run by Nicoleta Spînu.

The ESQlabs team continues to grow. In the first quarter of 2024, there have already been 7 new colleagues joining the team of 34. The company has been restructured into 3 main groups (Systems Toxicology Team, Systems Pharmacology Team and the Software Tool Chain team), which are the driving force behind the company’s growth. With all these changes, the company is looking forward to what is yet to come.
