ESQlabs is proud to have played a crucial role in the development of this big milestone: the updated version of OSP Suite!

Together with the talented scientists and software developers from Bayer and Design2Code, our team has implemented the revolutionary modularization concept for efficient model management and qualification!

These are the Key Innovations in OSPSuite Version 12

  • Modularization for PBPK and QSP/T Modeling: The QSP modeling tool MoBi organizes a modeling project in modules. A module can be a full PBPK model, an extension of the default PBPK backbone (a new organ or administration site), an effect, or a disease module. By combining modules, the user can create simulations with different individuals, medications, disease states, and levels of detail required for a particular use case. This modular approach enables more flexible and efficient model construction.
  • Enhanced Collaboration & Reusability: Modules can be distributed independently, making it easier to integrate and reuse models across different projects.

Driving Open Science and Regulatory Impact

Our team is already actively working on version 12.1, and the concept for the next major release – version 13 – has been in development for several months. Version 13 will bring an integrated qualification framework for QSP models, support regulatory submissions, and ensure that effect models meet the highest industry standards. By pioneering this modular concept, ESQlabs is fostering an open science community where model exchange, integration, and collaboration are more seamless than ever.

ESQlabs remains committed to shaping the future of pharmaco and toxicokinetic modeling and simulation, reinforcing our position as a leader in the field.  A close involvement in the development of the OSPSuite is a testament to our capability, expertise, and dedication to advancing computational pharmacology.

Stay tuned for our workshop and training announcements if you would like to learn how to apply the new modularization concept effectively!
