Our Company

ESQlabs was founded in 2017 and provides services worldwide. We offer tailored biosimulation services (consulting, project execution, workshops, coaching) and solutions (platform technologies, software, and open online courses).
Our goal is to support informed decision-making throughout the research and development process for both pharmaceutical and chemical products.

Our activities are organized into four main pillars.

Pharmaceutical Sciences and Healthcare:

Encompasses a wide range of modeling and simulation services for mechanistic model-informed drug development (MIDD). We work across QSP and PBPK modeling. Our PBPK services include IVIVE and species extrapolation for first-in-human dose predictions, Drug-Drug Interaction (DDI) assessments, and extrapolations to special populations, such as pediatric extrapolations and organ impairment studies. Our QSP services encompass multi-scale disease modeling, from early research questions to Phase 2 dose estimation with virtual trial simulations and beyond. Additional expertise includes the investigation of the integration of emerging methodologies such as organ-on-chip data, and the development of digital-twin-supported workflows in personalized medicine, among many other modeling-driven applications.

Toxicology and Risk Assessment:

Focuses on next-generation risk assessment (NGRA) for assessments under e.g., REACH, using PBK, QST, quantitative AOPs, QIVIVE, read-across, and related methodologies. This area also includes exposure assessments, computational new approach methodologies (NAMs), computational toxicology, and strategies that contribute to the reduction and replacement of animal testing.

Life Sciences Software Development:

Centers on our role as one of the main contributors to the open-source PBPK and QSP software OSP Suite. With a dedicated software development team, we continue to expand and maintain the OSP Suite and its structure. The team is also capable of developing new features and customized functionalities for PK-Sim®, MoBi®, and the R-based OSP tools to support client-specific modeling needs.

Learning Services:

Reflects our strong commitment to education. Through our E-Learning Platform, we provide resources for students and professionals who are beginning with the OSP Suite or aiming to advance their PBPK and QSP modeling skills with PK.Sim® and MoBi®. We also offer a variety of workshops and webinars throughout the year to help grow and strengthen the OSP Suite community. In addition, our team provides personalized coaching sessions tailored to each client’s needs.
